Macworld: new iPad mini could make the iPad Air obsolete

Macworld argues the upcoming iPad mini, expected at Apple's event next week, will get an OLED display, water resistance and the A20 Pro chip with 12GB RAM, surpassing the iPad Air. Even at a rumored $799 versus the Air's $749, the mini would offer a better screen, performance and portability.

• iPad mini would be Apple's first non-Pro tablet with an OLED display
• Expected A20 Pro chip with 12GB RAM on a 2nm process
• First iPad to get an official water-resistance rating
• Price may rise to $799 versus $749 for the iPad Air
