Tesla's $10.1B solar factory gets Texas tax incentives approval

Fort Bend County commissioners unanimously approved four tax incentive agreements for Tesla's proposed $10.1 billion solar cell and module factory. The Project Crystal Sun site spans about 3,000 acres, targets 9,712 permanent jobs by 2033 and commercial operations in Q1 2029, though Tesla says it is still weighing other locations and will decide by the end of 2026.
