Synology launches DiskStation neo+ desktop NAS family

Synology unveiled the DiskStation neo+ series of four desktop NAS devices powered by AMD Ryzen chips: DS725neo+, DS925neo+, DS1525neo+ and DS1825neo+. They use non-ECC DDR4 memory as a cheaper alternative to the DS Plus line, but can be upgraded to 32 GB ECC, and each ships with two M.2 slots and two 2.5GbE ports.

• DS725neo+ uses Ryzen R1600 with 2 bays; the other three run Ryzen V1500B
• 4 GB DDR4 standard, two M.2 slots and two 2.5GbE ports
• DS1525neo+ and DS1825neo+ add a PCIe 3.0 slot for 10/25GbE cards
• DX525 expansion unit supported; units are on sale now
