Google and Synaptics launch Astra SR200 xMCU family

Synaptics and Google Research introduced the Astra SR200 series of xMCUs, combining the Coral NPU AI accelerator with scalable custom DRAM reaching hundreds of megabytes. The three pin-compatible chips, SR210, SR230 and SR250, deliver 200, 300 and 400 GOPS for wearables, cameras and industrial vision and voice systems.

• Three chips: SR210 at 200 GOPS, SR230 at 300 GOPS, SR250 at 400 GOPS
• Up to 8MB SRAM plus external DRAM scaling to hundreds of megabytes
• Arm Cortex-M85 and Cortex-M52 cores, optional HiFi 5 DSP
• Security targets PSA Level 3 and CC EAL4+
