BrainChip unveils Sequora processor IP for generative AI at the edge
BrainChip has launched Sequora, a licensable processor IP core that runs generative AI and LLMs directly on battery-powered edge devices such as earbuds and sensor nodes. It pairs with the company's Akida neural processor and is optimized for state-space models that keep memory use constant regardless of sequence length. Sequora ships as process-portable, synthesizable RTL with verification IP and an SDK.
- Sequora complements Akida: Akida handles sensor streams, Sequora runs generative tasks
- SSM optimization keeps memory constant regardless of sequence length
- A unified MAC array removes the need for a separate DSP preprocessing stage
- Delivered as synthesizable RTL with verification IP and an SDK
