Mumbai Police asks X to remove 24 posts about Modi-Adani video essay

After YouTube blocked Sabeer Bhatia's 34-minute video essay on PM Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani, Mumbai Police sent X a legal notice demanding removal of 24 posts. The list includes posts by journalist Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, MP Mahua Moitra and the AAP Uttar Pradesh account.

• Notice dated October 18, 2026 was issued by Inspector Sandeep Patil under Section 79(3)(b) of the IT Act
• Police cite criminal defamation under BNS sections 352 and 356 and demand removal of the posts
• Several listed posts remained accessible at the time of writing
• The video 'How Modi and Adani Stole India', uploaded October 9, remains blocked in India
