Nvidia says European partners adopt DSX to cut AI factory water use
At GTC Berlin, Nvidia said European infrastructure firms are building AI data centres on its DSX reference design, which uses closed-loop liquid cooling to cut water use to almost zero. Nvidia estimates a 2-gigawatt site could save 54 million litres of water a day, while its MaxLPS tool delivers the same AI output with up to 30% less electricity.
- Closed-loop cooling releases heat via dry coolers without evaporating water
- A 2-GW site could save up to 54 million litres of water per day
- MaxLPS cuts power use by up to 30% at the same output
- Nscale's GB300 racks in Iceland saw 49% higher throughput within 264 kW
