Safari blocks trackers that turn email addresses into IDs
Apple added anti-tracking protections to Safari and WebKit that block identity resolution services converting email addresses into persistent tracking identifiers. The domain-level blocking is included in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and visionOS 27.
- Safari and WebKit block network access to identity resolution providers' infrastructure
- Protection works at domain level so providers can't bypass it by changing request structure
- The feature ships in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 and visionOS 27
- Apple also offers Hide My Email with iCloud+ for randomized addresses
