SpaceX targets early 2028 for own D2D service launch

SpaceX plans to switch on its direct-to-device service in early 2028 after deploying the second-generation Starlink Mobile constellation in 2027 and closing its purchase of up to 14MHz of 800MHz spectrum from Grain Management in the first half of 2027. Starlink Mobile already has 22 million monthly users.
