UN launches initiative to tackle military uses of AI

The UN Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) is launching the first international forum on military uses of AI on Thursday. Its head, Robin Geiss, warned that the margin for human judgment is narrowing, including in the nuclear domain. UNIDIR is also drafting voluntary guidelines for responsible industry behavior.
