Obsidian launches plugin safety scorecards with per-release scans
Obsidian has been automatically scanning every new plugin release since May and publishing results in its Community web directory, covering maintenance health, vulnerable dependencies, build reproducibility and declared permissions. From October 30, plugins whose latest release fails review will be delisted and no longer installable from the app.
- Scorecards show Health and Review bars plus a Disclosures section on plugin access
- Scans check byte-for-byte build reproducibility and vulnerable dependencies
- Plugins failing review will be removed from the directory on October 30
- Results live only in the web directory, not inside the Obsidian app
