BMW iX5 hits 464 kW in first public fast-charging demo

BMW publicly demonstrated fast charging on the new iX5 for the first time, peaking at 464 kW and adding up to 170 miles of range in 10 minutes. The 144 kWh battery charges from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes. The iX5 60 xDrive launches in the US in Q1 2027 starting at $79,800.
