BMW iX5 Gets Range Boost To 450 Miles Ahead Of U.S. Launch

BMW now expects an EPA range of 450 miles for its first electric X5, up from the 435 miles quoted earlier. A 144-kWh pack — the largest ever in a production BMW — and 460-kW charging enable a 10-80% charge in 22 minutes. Sales begin in the first quarter of 2027.
