BAE Systems to scale APKWS laser-guidance kit output to 35,000 a year

BAE Systems signed a long-term framework agreement with the Pentagon to expand APKWS laser-guidance kit production to as many as 35,000 units annually, up from at least 25,000 today. The deal sets up to seven years of multi-year procurement, though the final contract is still under negotiation. BAE has invested over $100 million in production infrastructure.
