Postquant Labs launches QVM virtual machine for different quantum computers
Postquant Labs has launched the Quip Virtual Machine, a software layer that lets developers write code once and run it on quantum annealers, gate-based quantum computers and conventional machines. The QVM is available on the Aglais testnet with free credits, and job costs are calculated in gas, modeled on Ethereum.
- QVM runs on Quip Network, a quantum marketplace opened for testing in April
- Job pricing depends on qubit count, runtime and entanglement requirements
- In a portfolio test, the quantum solver matched or beat the classical one in 1,930 comparisons
- Results can be verified via simulation, third-party providers and digital signatures
