Marvell pushes GlobalFoundries to light up wafer production

Marvell announced an expanded partnership with GlobalFoundries to increase production of silicon-germanium wafers for optical transceivers and laser modules at its Burlington, Vermont fab. The technology has been validated at up to 200 Gbps per channel for 1.6 Tbps transceivers, with plans for 3.2 Tbps.
