London ranks last among European capitals for mobile network speed

Ookla ranked London last of 18 European capitals for median download speed (109.43 Mbps), upload speed (11.40 Mbps) and latency under load. Capacity is constrained: three-quarters of street mast applications since 2019 were refused, and rooftop rent for antennas fell from £21,000 to about £1,000 a year.
