WhatsApp tests call screening that asks unknown callers why they're calling

WhatsApp is developing an "Ask reason for calling" option for Android that answers unknown calls, asks the caller's purpose and shows a transcript so the user can decide whether to pick up. Transcription runs on-device via language packs with end-to-end encryption; the feature was spotted in app version 2.26.41.4 and isn't available to beta testers yet.
