California’s new 1,000 MWh energy storage facility can deliver 250 MW for four hours

Arevon Energy is building the Cormorant battery storage facility in Daly City, California, with 250 MW capacity and 1,000 MWh using LFP batteries. Launch is planned for 2027, expanded from initial 188 MW/752 MWh, with MCE signing a long-term purchase agreement.
