Wiwynn, Ayar Labs and GUC run live CPO rack at OCP Summit

At the OCP Global Summit in San Jose, Wiwynn, Ayar Labs and Global Unichip ran the most complete live co-packaged optics rack to date: a GUC ASIC, Ayar Labs TeraPHY optical engines and SuperNova external lasers in an Open Rack V3 enclosure streaming real-time health telemetry. The companies call it CPO's move from architectural validation to system-level functional proof.

• Demo uses UCIe links at 64 Gbps per lane and the ORV3 rack standard
• TeraPHY delivers up to 4 Tbps per chiplet across 8 O-band wavelengths
• CPO draws about 9 W per port versus roughly 30 W for a 1.6T transceiver
• GUC XPU package targets over 100 Tbps of optical bandwidth per package
