Microsoft announces Hybrid Intelligence for Windows 11

Microsoft unveiled Hybrid Intelligence, a new wave of Windows 11 AI features that routes tasks between on-device NPU processing and the cloud. Copilot gains local context, local actions and local models, with rollout on Copilot+ PCs expected in the coming months.

• Local actions cover file organization, diagnostics, troubleshooting and coding
• New on-device model Aion Instruct replaces Phi Silica and runs on NPU, GPU and CPU
• Copilot+ PC brand is retired as marketing but remains a feature set
