Google says Linux GUI apps are coming to Googlebook

Google confirmed that the Linux environment on Googlebook, currently a preview, will gain support for graphical apps integrated into the OS launcher. It also plans USB passthrough, ADB over USB, dynamic memory and storage scaling, GPU/NPU acceleration and VM persistence.

• Linux on Googlebook is now a preview without GUI apps
• Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go and Rust are already supported
• USB passthrough, ADB and GPU/NPU acceleration are planned
• Google did not give a timeline for GUI app support
