Node.js 26 becomes LTS on 28 October 2026
Node.js 26 is scheduled to enter Long Term Support on 28 October 2026 and will be supported through 30 April 2029. Node 24 moves to Maintenance on 20 October, Node 22 ends on 30 April 2027, and Node 20 has been end-of-life since 30 April 2026. Node 26 removes writeHeader(), the legacy _stream_* modules and the --experimental-transform-types flag.
- Node 26 LTS starts 28 October 2026, supported until 30 April 2029
- Node 24 enters Maintenance on 20 October 2026, EOL 30 April 2028
- Node 22 stays in Maintenance until 30 April 2027
- Node 26 removes writeHeader(), _stream_* modules and --experimental-transform-types
