First BYD Flash Charger spotted at Denza Glenmarie in Malaysia

Battery energy storage units for a BYD Flash Charger have been spotted at the Denza Glenmarie showroom in Shah Alam, possibly the first such site in Malaysia. The station delivers up to 1.5MW, charging 10-70% in 5 minutes and 10-97% in 9 minutes, with only the Denza Z9 GT able to use the full rate.

• BYD Flash Charge peaks at 1.5MW (1,500kW) DC charging
• Each BESS cabinet holds 185kWh, for 370kWh total per station
• 10-70% takes 5 minutes, 10-97% takes 9 minutes, plus 3 minutes in cold
• Only the Denza Z9 GT with a 1,000V platform can hit full speed in Malaysia
