Next Call of Duty will launch a new sub-series

Activision confirmed that next year's Call of Duty will not belong to Modern Warfare or Black Ops and will instead start a new sub-franchise. The game, reportedly developed by Sledgehammer Games, is rumoured to be set in the late 1990s and early 2000s with a new cast.
