Indian physicists first to measure quantum measure above one
Scientists at Bengaluru's Raman Research Institute have experimentally verified Rafael Sorkin's Quantum Measure Theory, showing that the quantum analogue of probability can exceed one. The measured value of 1.17 matched the theoretical prediction of 1.18. The work was published in the journal Quantum.
- Measured quantum measure was 1.17 versus theoretical 1.18
- Experiment confirmed Rafael Sorkin's Quantum Measure Theory
- Values above one arise from interference between possible photon paths
- Paper published in the journal Quantum in September 2026
