SAP: ECC conversion on third-party databases closes after 2030

SAP clarified that 2027 is mostly a commercial deadline while 2030 is technical: reseller and support deals with third-party database vendors and Java 8/JEE5 support in NetWeaver AS Java 7.5 end, and converting Business Suite 7 on a third-party database to S/4HANA will no longer be possible. The SAP ERP private edition transition option now runs to 2035, requiring HANA, at least 2 TB and a 20% uplift.
