Glenfly samples GF800, its first Arm SoC with in-house GPU and NPU

Shanghai-based Glenfly Tech has finished debugging its first Arm SoC, the GF800, and is now sampling it to customers. The chip combines eight Cortex-A78 cores with a Glenfly-designed GPU, a dedicated NPU and unified memory; the process node and NPU performance were not disclosed.

• GF800 pairs eight Arm Cortex-A78 cores with Glenfly's own GPU IP
• GPU passed conformance tests for DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.6, OpenCL 3.0 and Vulkan 1.3
• Up to four displays and 8K output, 48MP ISP, PCIe 4.0 and USB 3.2
• Process node, NPU performance and volume production timeline undisclosed
