GNOME Project releases GNOME OS Preview for non-developers
Adrian Vovk announced GNOME OS Preview, a build based on the latest stable GNOME release (51.1) instead of nightly commits. It targets enthusiast non-developers but is not yet considered complete or stable for the general public.
- Preview is built from stable GNOME 51.1 rather than nightly commits
- It shares GitLab branches with stable org.gnome.Platform Flatpak runtimes
- Preview is far more stable than Nightly but still needs work before prime time
- Users may have to reinstall the OS once a stable release is declared
