Microsoft Edge now sleeps inactive tabs after 15 minutes instead of two hours
Microsoft cut the default Sleeping Tabs timeout in Edge from 120 to 15 minutes, starting with version 152.0.4188.0. The change frees up RAM and CPU resources sooner, especially on PCs with 8GB or 16GB of memory. Users can adjust the setting at edge://settings/system/managePerformance.
