ArtCraft: free open-source suite offers AI-built alternatives to Photoshop and Premiere Pro

Developer Brandon Thomas released ArtCraft in October 2026, a free open-source suite of 13 Rust-based apps built with Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5. PhotoCraft, FilmCraft, VectorCraft and others run locally on Windows, macOS and Linux without subscriptions, but early testing found issues and the project's legal status is disputed.
