Meta releases Muse Spark Open, an 800B open-weight AI model for Macs

Meta has open-sourced Muse Spark Open, an 800-billion-parameter model optimized for Apple Silicon. Running it locally requires around 1TB of unified memory, such as two 512GB M5 Ultra Mac Studios. Meta says it outperforms Chinese models GLM 5.3 and Kimi K3 on agentic tasks and visual reasoning.
