Robot dogs take over overnight security at Atlanta apartment complexes

Atlanta-based Undaunted Robotic Security has replaced overnight human guards with robotic dogs at the roughly 200-unit 445 Cleveland complex, with remote operators monitoring cameras and sensors. The company claims steep crime reductions at about half the cost of traditional guards, but no independent verification exists.

• Two robots replaced 2–3 overnight guards at a 200-unit complex
• Battery life is about 2.5 hours with a multi-unit charging station
• Undaunted claims roughly half the cost of traditional guard staffing
• Reported drops: 100% burglaries, 75% vehicle thefts, 65% break-ins
