Construction Begins on Water Supply for Yongin Semiconductor Complex

South Korea's Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment began construction on September 18 of the first phase of a water supply system for the Yongin industrial complex. A 47 km pipeline from Paldang Dam will carry 310,000 tons of water per day; after all phases, capacity will reach 1.072 million tons per day for Samsung and SK hynix plants.

• First phase: 47 km pipeline and one pumping station
• First phase capacity: 310,000 tons of water per day
• Second phase will add 762,000 tons per day
