Ex-Meta and Apple architect launches Awear AI for portable personal AI assistants

Ash Saulsbury's startup Awear AI emerged from stealth at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit on September 23, unveiling Agentic System One (AS-One), a software platform for smart glasses running Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1+ chip. The platform keeps an AI assistant's memory in an encrypted vault that can move between eyewear brands. Co-founders include former Microsoft deputy CTO Lila Tretikov and Jan Eißfeldt.
