Microsoft fixes Windows 11 black screen and Explorer crash bug

Microsoft resolved a known issue causing black screens after sign-in, desktop loading problems, and Explorer crashes in Windows 11 following updates released since August. The bug mainly affected Azure Virtual Desktop hosts using FSLogix, and the fix arrived in the October 13, 2026 Patch Tuesday updates.
