Google's ad tech monopoly will remain, but must relax rules and appoint antitrust monitor
Judge Leonie Brinkema ruled that Google does not have to split off its advertising business but must unbundle its publisher ad server from AdX and appoint an antitrust ombudsman. Oversight will last six years instead of the 15 requested by the DOJ. Google plans to appeal the decision.
