Hong Kong and Singapore expand facial recognition at borders

Hong Kong will pilot automated in-vehicle immigration clearance for private cars at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in December, using cameras and AI to verify all occupants without them leaving the car. Singapore enabled facial recognition at all 80 automated lanes at Tuas Checkpoint on September 18, cutting motorcycle clearance from 30 to 20 seconds.
