India Gets ₹1 Lakh Cr Investment Commitments Under Semicon 2.0: Vaishnaw

Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said at Semicon India 2026 that India has received about ₹1 lakh crore ($11–12 billion) in investment commitments under Semicon 2.0 for equipment, materials, specialty gases and advanced packaging. The program has a budget of ₹1.28 lakh crore and aims to create about 100,000 jobs.
