Dobot launches VEGA 7, a seven-axis force-controlled arm for embodied AI

Dobot has unveiled the VEGA 7, a seven-axis force-controlled robotic arm built for embodied AI and mobile manipulation. It claims a 50,000-hour MTBF, 7kg rated payload, 725mm working radius and ±0.03mm repeatability. Pricing and a shipping date were not announced.

• 50,000-hour MTBF, IP54 rating, joint brakes engage within 18 ms
• Force control accuracy of 0.15N or better, torque accuracy of 0.05N·m
• 7kg rated payload, 725mm working radius, ±0.03mm repeatability
• EtherCAT, CAN and RS-485 interfaces with 3A rated, 5A peak output
