TDK Unveils 150nm Meta-Optic Mirror for Retinal Projection Smart Glasses

At CEATEC 2026 TDK demonstrated a smart glasses prototype that projects images directly onto the retina via a transparent 150nm meta-optic mirror that passes about 80% of visible light. The design removes bulky waveguides and won the METI Award; full-color 4K and mass production are planned for coming years.
