Illinois College Could Not Cancel Flock Safety Contract Early

Elgin Community College spent nearly a year unable to remove six Flock Safety AI license-plate cameras because Flock retains ownership of hardware on customer property and refused early termination. The cameras were removed only after the contract expired in April 2026.
