Windows Update certificates expire in 2027: PCs without them lose updates

Microsoft says certificates used to connect to Windows Update expire on May 17 and June 19, 2027. Devices without the replacement certificates will lose access to updates; the new certificates shipped in July 2026 security updates for supported Windows 11 versions.
