Blue Origin taps Amazon Ring exec to lead TeraWave network

Blue Origin has appointed Leticia Ambriz as director of its TeraWave global communications network for data centers, governments, and businesses. The project calls for 5,408 satellites in LEO and MEO with optical links up to 6Tbps, with deployment starting in Q4 2027.

• Ambriz spent 12 years at Amazon, leading product ops for Ring and Blink
• TeraWave: 5,280 satellites in LEO and 128 in MEO
• Optical links up to 6Tbps, RF up to 144Gbps
• Max customer base of about 100,000, deployment from Q4 2027
