Samsung Expands AI Memory Strategy Beyond HBM
At OCP Global Summit 2026, Samsung outlined an AI memory strategy built on three pillars: speed (HBM5, zHBM, PIM, HBM4E), capacity expansion via CXL (CMM-D module, memory pooling) and persistence with enterprise SSDs and high-capacity NAND. Samsung and AMD showcased CXL-based memory expansion. Samsung held 39% of the DRAM market and 29.3% of NAND in Q2 2026.
