NASA Picks GIMLI Mission to Probe Marius Hills Pit on the Moon
NASA has selected the GIMLI mission to investigate the Marius Hills Pit, a lunar hole up to 150 feet deep and 300 feet across that may be a skylight into a lava tube. A rover equipped with ground-penetrating radar, seismic probes and a gravimeter will study it from the surface.
