Polygon shared impressions from a 20-minute demo of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse at Tokyo Game Show. The game from Evil Empire (Dead Cells) launches October 15 on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.

• Set in 15th-century Paris, protagonist is Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor and Sypha
• After boss fight with The Fallen, Rose obtains the whip, the series' signature weapon
