Genshin Impact 7.1 launches Sept 22-23 with two new characters

Genshin Impact's 7.1 patch arrives Sept. 22-23 after roughly five hours of maintenance. The update continues the Snezhnaya storyline, adds Vesna (Anemo sword) and Vodyanitsa (Hydro catalyst), and brings sixth-anniversary rewards.

• Maintenance starts Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. PDT and lasts about five hours
• Patch adds two playable characters: Vesna and Vodyanitsa
• Players can claim two free five-star characters for the anniversary
• Servers return with version 7.1 around 8 p.m. PDT on Sept. 22
