Personal Agent Protocol draft 0.1 and the poppy.json discovery file
Sierra and Meta introduced the open Personal Agent Protocol (PAP) for how a user's AI agent works with companies on their behalf. Draft 0.1 was published on 9 October 2026 with 35 design partners including OpenAI, Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. Everything starts with /.well-known/poppy.json, which none of the partners serve yet.
