GitHub Turns On Copilot Features by Default for Business and Enterprise

Starting September 24, 2026, GitHub introduces a global default policy for eligible Copilot features in Business and Enterprise plans. Admins have a 28-day window until October 22 to configure settings, otherwise eligible features will be enabled automatically. Previously explicit choices and preview features remain unchanged.
